We have been visiting the Nuevo Vallarta market each Tuesday since we arrived. There are lots of great vendors selling crafts and also a number of food stands.
We have tried a few of the food vendors that offer gluten and dairy free foods.
We loved the seafood paella from Los Tientos. Very generous portion for $180 pesos that we can easily share for lunch.
We also love the tamales from an older woman (I didn’t catch the stand name). She makes hers with butter and olive oil, while others are usually made with sunflower oil so we love that! We’ve had both the chicken and pork with green sauce and we both love the pork one best. She also had other flavors with cheese and mole though we opted out of these. We love supporting this stand and her fantastic tamales!
We have also had the fresh juice from another stand. He usually has 6-8 flavors and you can test them first. I love the watermelon and also the pineapple basil. The owner is super friendly and happy to chat as well.
There is a lot of food at the Nuevo Vallarta market and we’ve just tested a small sampling. The market is worth visiting if you are in Nuevo Vallarta between November and March!
