After a busy day of work we were famished but didn’t feel like cooking. We decided to order from Uber Eats, but wanted something healthy. After a bit of searching around I found Healthy AF Bowls which I had never seen on there before. I tried googling them but nothing came up which was a bit odd. Perhaps a pop-up restaurant or a new food truck? In any event, their meals sounded tasty and healthy so we went for it.
They didn’t have a ton of options that looked gluten and dairy free (and they didn’t advertise what was, but they did list ingredients which is what I went off). So we opted for the two of the Mexi Bowls and chickpea fries.
As with most Uber Eats orders, they do take awhile to arrive and are often cold by the time you receive it. I always go into it knowing this, but keep this in mind if you are expecting something different. They also always take longer than they said to deliver – I usually expect it to take 60-75 minutes from the time I order until I receive it. Which can be a long time when places are close by.
I found the chickpea fries a bit bland and dry. Gluten Lips loved them and couldn’t stop eating them. Other than being deep fried, I don’t think they resemble real fries flavour wise in any way. I can have a couple but they need a dipping sauce because they are so dry. I guess it depends on your palette.
The mexi bowls were a decent size and fresh with nice chicken, avocado, rice and some sort of sauce. The bowls could have used some more veggies, but they still felt healthy and not too heavy
We would order from Healthy AF Bowls again but it was odd they didn’t show up in Google.
